Is a French Bulldog a good fit for a Delhi home?
Small dogs fit most Delhi homes, from DDA flats and floors to apartments in group-housing societies. They manage stairs and lifts easily and are easy to take along on short walks.
A French Bulldog is a good flat dog because it needs little space and exercise, as long as the home stays cool. Check your society's rules on dogs and lifts in Delhi before you decide.
French Bulldog and Delhi's weather
Delhi summers regularly cross 40°C, winters bring cold mornings and fog, and the monsoon is humid. Air quality can turn poor in late autumn and winter, so plan indoor play on bad air days and ask your vet when to limit outdoor exercise.
Delhi's summer is dangerous for French Bulldogs because their short airways make it hard to cool down. An AC is the safest option for summer, and many Frenchies cannot swim well, so never leave them unsupervised near water.
Because the French Bulldog has a short, flat face, heat is a serious risk: an AC or strong cooler in summer, short walks in the cool hours and a harness instead of a collar.

Registration and society rules in Delhi
In Delhi, Section 399 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act requires pet dogs to be registered with the municipal corporation, and registration is generally linked to a vaccination certificate. Registration is done through the MCD's online system. Rules, forms and fees can change, so check the MCD's current requirements and your RWA or society's pet policy before the puppy comes home.
French Bulldog puppy price in Delhi
The price of a French Bulldog puppy depends on the puppy's age, lineage and records, colour, health checks and current availability, and it can change from one litter to the next. We do not quote a price without knowing what is available, so message us your area in Delhi and we will tell you what we have, what is included and what records exist. You can meet the puppy by appointment before you decide.
Is a French Bulldog right for you?
A French Bulldog may suit you if you want a compact, affectionate, not-too-barky dog, can keep the home cool in summer and can afford vet care for a flat-faced breed.
You may want a different breed if you cannot cool the home in summer, want an athletic dog, or are unprepared for higher vet bills.
