Is a Border Collie a good fit for a Ghaziabad home?
Medium dogs work in Ghaziabad homes with access to a park or open space. Check your society's rules and the Municipal Corporation's licence conditions first.
A Border Collie is a poor match for most flats, because it needs a lot of space, exercise and mental work every day. Check your society's rules on dogs and lifts in Ghaziabad before you decide.
Border Collie and Ghaziabad's weather
Ghaziabad has hot summers, humid monsoons and cold, foggy winters, and air quality is often poor in late autumn and winter. Keep exercise to the cool hours, and use indoor play on bad air days.
A Border Collie's double coat and high energy need careful timing in Delhi's heat: exercise only in the early morning or late evening, and give plenty of water and a cool room.
The Border Collie's thick coat is the main concern: an AC or cooler in summer, walks only in the cool hours, plenty of water and never shaving the coat.

Registration and society rules in Ghaziabad
In Ghaziabad, the Municipal Corporation requires pet dogs to be licensed and has issued rules on owners' responsibilities. In October 2022 it also announced a ban on keeping some powerful breeds, including the Rottweiler and Dogo Argentino. Rules can be revised, so check the corporation's current position and your society's pet policy before you choose a breed.
Border Collie puppy price in Ghaziabad
The price of a Border Collie puppy depends on the puppy's age, lineage and records, coat colour, health checks and current availability, and it can change from one litter to the next. We do not quote a price without knowing what is available, so message us your area in Ghaziabad and we will tell you what we have, what is included and what records exist. You can meet the puppy by appointment before you decide.
Is a Border Collie right for you?
A Border Collie may suit you if you are very active, can give two hours of exercise and training a day, and want a dog to work and play with.
You may want a different breed if you live in a small flat, work long hours, or want a calm, easy companion.
