Is a German Shepherd a good fit for a Gurgaon home?
Many Gurgaon societies allow large dogs but have rules for lifts, common areas and walking times. Check yours first, and make sure the home can be kept cool in summer.
A German Shepherd can live in a flat if it gets a lot of daily exercise, training and company, but it does better with space. Check your society's rules on dogs and lifts in Gurgaon before you decide.
German Shepherd and Gurgaon's weather
Gurgaon shares Delhi's very hot summers and cold winter mornings, and dust and construction can make air quality poor at times. Many apartments here have AC, which helps heat-sensitive dogs, but plan walks for the early morning or late evening.
German Shepherds cope with Delhi if they are kept cool and exercised at the right time of day, but a dense double coat and large body mean summer needs real attention. Do not exercise a Shepherd hard in the afternoon heat.
The German Shepherd's thick coat is the main concern: an AC or cooler in summer, walks only in the cool hours, plenty of water and never shaving the coat.

Registration and society rules in Gurgaon

German Shepherd puppy price in Gurgaon
The price of a German Shepherd puppy depends on the puppy's age, lineage and records, coat type and colour, health checks and current availability, and it can change from one litter to the next. We do not quote a price without knowing what is available, so message us your area in Gurgaon and we will tell you what we have, what is included and what records exist. You can meet the puppy by appointment before you decide.
Is a German Shepherd right for you?
A German Shepherd may suit you if you want a loyal, intelligent dog, can give daily exercise, training and company, and can keep a large dog cool in summer.
You may want a different breed if you are away from home most of the day, cannot give consistent training, or want a dog that is relaxed with every stranger without socialisation.
