Is a Pug a good fit for a Gurgaon home?
Small dogs suit Gurgaon's gated societies well. Most apartments have lifts, community gardens and walking areas, and a small dog is easy to manage in all of them.
A Pug is a great flat dog because it needs little space and moderate exercise, provided the home is kept cool. Check your society's rules on dogs and lifts in Gurgaon before you decide.
Pug and Gurgaon's weather
Gurgaon shares Delhi's very hot summers and cold winter mornings, and dust and construction can make air quality poor at times. Many apartments here have AC, which helps heat-sensitive dogs, but plan walks for the early morning or late evening.
Delhi's summer is the biggest challenge for a Pug. A short, flat face makes it harder to cool down by panting, and heat stroke can come on quickly. An air-conditioned or well-cooled room is essential, not optional.
Because the Pug has a short, flat face, heat is a serious risk: an AC or strong cooler in summer, short walks in the cool hours and a harness instead of a collar.

Pug puppy price in Gurgaon
The price of a Pug puppy depends on the puppy's age, lineage and records, colour, health checks and current availability, and it can change from one litter to the next. We do not quote a price without knowing what is available, so message us your area in Gurgaon and we will tell you what we have, what is included and what records exist. You can meet the puppy by appointment before you decide.
Is a Pug right for you?
A Pug may suit you if you want a cuddly, sociable companion, can keep the home cool in summer and can control the dog's weight.
You may want a different breed if you cannot keep a room cool in summer, want an athletic dog, or dislike snoring and shedding.
