Is a Maltese a good fit for a Ghaziabad home?
Toy dogs suit Ghaziabad's multi-storey societies in areas such as Indirapuram and Vaishali. They need little space and are simple to manage in a lift.
A Maltese is an excellent flat dog, because it needs very little space and exercise, but it needs company. Check your society's rules on dogs and lifts in Ghaziabad before you decide.
Maltese and Ghaziabad's weather
Ghaziabad has hot summers, humid monsoons and cold, foggy winters, and air quality is often poor in late autumn and winter. Keep exercise to the cool hours, and use indoor play on bad air days.
A Maltese copes with Delhi if kept cool indoors, clipped short in summer and walked in the cool hours. Keep the white coat clean in the monsoon, since mud and damp easily cause staining and skin trouble. Give it a warm bed in winter.
A small Maltese heats up and cools down quickly, so plan a cool room and water in summer, and a warm bed and light sweater on cold winter mornings.

Registration and society rules in Ghaziabad
In Ghaziabad, the Municipal Corporation requires pet dogs to be licensed and has issued rules on owners' responsibilities. In October 2022 it also announced a ban on keeping some powerful breeds, including the Rottweiler and Dogo Argentino. Rules can be revised, so check the corporation's current position and your society's pet policy before you choose a breed.
Maltese puppy price in Ghaziabad
The price of a Maltese puppy depends on the puppy's size, age, lineage and records, coat quality, health checks and current availability, and it can change from one litter to the next. We do not quote a price without knowing what is available, so message us your area in Ghaziabad and we will tell you what we have, what is included and what records exist. You can meet the puppy by appointment before you decide.
Is a Maltese right for you?
A Maltese may suit you if you want a small, gentle lap dog, can brush daily or pay for grooming and can be at home often.
You may want a different breed if you are away for long hours, have very young children, or cannot manage a long white coat.
